SK Gaming will be battling Power Gaming in the overall final at the Nordic WCG qualifier finals, following a 2-0 defeat of H2k Gaming in the semi's.
The all Swedish matchup saw SK Gaming seeking revenge after H2k Gaming had knocked them out in the quarter-finals at Arbalet Cup Dallas. SK had yesterday defeated H2k 16-6 on de_nuke in the group stage, but this time it would be to determine which of the two would advance to the final.
On first map de_train, SK started very good as Terrorists, leading 9-2 before H2k woke up and secured the four remaining rounds before half time. As CT SK won the pistol round and went to a 12-6 lead, it seemed like SK would cash in an easy victory, but surprisingly H2k managed to take them to overtime. In overtime SK won 2-1 as both Terrorists and CT, meaning a 19-17 victory.
Second map turned out to be de_nuke, the map had won 16-6 against H2k yesterday. The first half, with SK as CT, H2k showed glimpse of play that could take SK by surprise, but over and over SK managed to lock the H2k members down before executing their moves. This led to a 9-6 lead for SK before switching sides. Now playing the Terrorists side, SK continued with great play and H2k struggled to keep up. In the end SK had a lot more to give and took the victory with a 16-10 score line to move on to the overall final.
